Q: How do I place an advert? 

A. Here are a few different ways that you can place an advert:

Website– the quickest and easiest way is to submit your advert directly onto equilinks.co.uk or click here. You will firstly need to create a free Equilinks account. From your account you will have access to create adverts, edit your adverts and to create a favourites list. You will have the option to pay for your advert by PayPal or by BACS. You will also receive email notifications when we receive and approve your advert.

Email- if you would rather submit your advert via email, you can send your advert, together with which categories you would like it to feature in, a full description,  and any images you would like to use to a member of our team at enquiries@equilinks.co.uk, once your advert has been created we will then contact you for a BACS payment before your advert is approved to go live on the site. 

Facebook- You can submit your advert via our Facebook page,  just open up a conversation through Facebook messenger, you will be able to send your advert details and images for us to create your advert. Once your advert has been created we will then contact you for a BACS payment before your advert is approved to go live on the site. 

SMS or WhatsApp- Send your advert details together with your images to 07935 473634 for us to create your advert. Once your advert has been created we will then contact you for a BACS payment before your advert is approved to go live on the site. 

Q: How much does it cost to advertise in the classifieds?

A. Wanted ads are completely free, an Express advert we charge £7, Standard adverts are £10, and Premium adverts are £15. All of theses packages have the option to upgrade to a Featured status for an additional £5. Full details of our advertising packages can be found here.

Q. How long will my advert be online?

A. Expess adverts will be live for 7 days, Standard adverts are live for 30 days and Premium adverts are live for 60 days. If your listing has not sold after the advert duration you will get a reminder email with the option to renew your advert. 

Q. How do I pay for my advert?

A. At the checkout you will get the option to pay for your advert via PayPal or Direct Bank Transfer (BACS) If you choose PayPal this will take you away from our site to PayPals secure online payment gateway, Once the payment is completed you will then be returned back to our site. If you choose BACS please make your payment directly in our bank account, the details will be on the page. Please use your Order ID as payment reference. Your order won’t get approved until the funds have cleared in our account. We do not receive notifications when a BACS payment is made to our account so please contact us to let us know so we can track and confirm the transaction.

Q. I’ve paid for my advert, but it hasn’t gone live yet

A. Adverts are not automatically submitted to the site, they will come to our admin team to be approved first. We will make sure that your advert does not go against any of our terms & conditions, that it meets our quality control and that the payment has successfully cleared before we give the advert the ok to go live on the site. This could take up to 48 hours from when your payment is received. 

Q. Can I swap / add photos to my advert? 

A. Yes! Delete the photo you wish to swap with first and then upload a new one in its place. You will not be able to exceed the number of photos/videos that your advertising package is paid for. If you do add more photos or videos than what you have paid for, your advert simply won’t be approved and will be deleted from the site. If you would like to upgrade your advert package to allow for more photos/videos please contact us by phone or email. Every time you edit or add to your advert it will be sent back to admin for approval and will be offline until it has been re-approved so please bear this in mind when making your changes. *Please note* to prevent abuse of the system you can not change your adverts category after your listing has been approved. If there has been a mistake and providing it is within 24hrs from your listing going live you can contact a member of our team at enquiries@equilinks.co.uk to amend the category choice for you. 

Q. How do I make changes to my advert? 

A. You will need to be logged into your Equilinks Account to have access to your advert(s) then press the edit button to the right of your listing. You can then make any changes you need to to your listing with the exception of changing its categories, this is to prevent abuse of the system. If there has been a genuine mistake and providing it is within 24hrs from your listing going live you can contact a member of our team at enquiries@equilinks.co.uk to amend the category choice for you.*Please note* Every time you edit or add to your advert it will be sent back to admin for approval and will be offline until it has been re-approved so please bear this in mind when making your changes.  

Q. How do I mark my advert as sold?

A. You will need to be logged into your Equilinks Account to have access to your advert(s) click on the one that you wish to mark as sold, scroll to the bottom of the listing and there will be a tick box to mark it as sold, remember to save your changes before leaving that page.

Q. How can I renew my advert?

A. You can renew your advert at additional cost any time within the adverts paid duration to boost it back to the top of the page, however if you wish to wait until the advert expires, you will receive a reminder email containing all the renewal details, alternatively you can contact a member of our team to help with your renewal. 

Q. What are the different advertising upgrade options?

  • Express for £7 the express advert will be live for 7 days, allows you 12 photos, unlimited video links, to be listed in unlimited categories and an unlimited word count.
  • Standard for £10 the standard advert will be live for 30 days, allows you up to 12 photos, unlimited video links, to be listed in 1 category of your choice and an unlimited word count.
  • Premium for £15 the premium advert will be live for 60 days, allows you up to 12 photos, unlimited video links, unlimited categories and an unlimited word count.
  • Featured for an additional £5 your advert can be featured on our home page and various other places within the site for the duration of its paid plan.

Q. Where will my advert be displayed?

A. Your advert will be displayed within our classifieds pages, you will find it in each category that it is listed in. If you have paid extra for your advert to be Featured then it will be displayed in various other places within the site such as on the top of our home page and at the side of lots of other pages. 

Q. How do I include photos in my advert?

A. It’s easy! You will see an “Upload Image” button on the advert form, just click this and you will be able to choose which images you would like to upload from your device. If you are placing your advert via Messenger or WhatsApp just follow your devices usual method of sharing images. If you experience problems please do not hesitate to contact us to offer further guidance.

Q. How do I upload a video to my advert?

A. We only accept videos by urls from YouTube or Vimeo. You will need to upload your chosen video to either site (accepted video formats are MP4, MOV, MPEG, WMV, AVI, and FLV) once you have successfully uploaded your video you will see a share button that will give you the videos url to copy and paste into your Equilinks advert form. If you are uploading more than one video just copy and paste the second url video link after the first but be sure to separate each video link with a comma. If you are still having problems please do not hesitate to contact us to offer further guidance.

Q. How do I change my advert category

A. You will not be able to change your adverts category after it has been submitted and approved, this is to prevent abuse of the system. If there has been a genuine mistake and providing it is within 24hrs from your listing going live you can contact a member of our team at enquiries@equilinks.co.uk to amend the category choice for you.

Q. How do I delete my advert?

A. You will need to be logged in to your Equilinks Account to be able to have access to your advert(s) you will find the delete button next to the edit button. *Please note that this action is permanent and cannot be reversed, you will not be refunded for a deleted advert once once you have deleted it.

Directory

Q. How do I place a business directory advert?

A. Here are a few different ways that you can place a business directory advert:

Website– the quickest and easiest way is to create your business profile directly onto Equilinks.co.uk or by clicking here. You will have the option to pay for your advert by PayPal or by BACS. 

Email- if you would rather submit your Profile via email, you can send your advert details, together with which categories you would like it to feature in, a full description,  and any images you would like to use, to a member of our team at enquiries@equilinks.co.uk, once your advert has been created we will then contact you for a payment before your advert is approved to go live on the site.

Q. What is the different between the advertising options?

  • Expess- £30 The Express package allows you allows you to advertise your business on our site for 3 months, showcase your business with unlimited photos, your business logo, to be listed in unlimited categories, direct contact links, social media links, events & classifieds links and an unlimited word count description.
  • Basic- £45- This bi-annual package allows you to advertise your business on our site for 6 months, showcase your business with unlimited photos, include your business logo, to be listed in unlimited categories, direct contact links, social media links, events & classifieds links and an unlimited word count description.
  • Standard- £75 The Standard package allows you to advertise your business on our site for 12 months, showcase your business with unlimited photos, your business logo, to be listed in unlimited categories, direct contact links, social media links, events & classifieds links and an unlimited word count description.

Q. How long will my advert be online?

A. Standard Business Profiles in our directory will remain live for 12 months, Basic business profiles will remain live for 6 months and Express business profiles will be live for 3 months, after which you will be given the option to renew.

Q. How do I include my logo?

A. Next to your Main Image selection you will see where to upload your logo, click the “Choose File” button,  and you will be able to choose which logo or image you would like to upload from your device. If you are placing your advert via Messenger or WhatsApp just follow your devices usual method of sharing images. If you experience problems please do not hesitate to contact us to offer further guidance.

Q. How do I include my social media links?

A. On the directory form, underneath where you include your contact details, you will see a selection of boxes for your social media, just copy and paste your social media URL into the relevant boxes.

Q. How do I edit my business directory profile?

A. You will not be able to manually edit your profile yourself after it has been submitted and approved. However we would be happy to help amend your listing if there has been any mistakes, if you would like to make any changes including to swap or delete any images or wording. Just contact a member of our team at enquiries@equilinks.co.uk to assist.

Q. What happens if I want to delete my profile?

A. Unfortunately you cannot manually delete your profile yourself but please do not hesitate to contact a member of our team at enquiries@equilinks.co.uk to assist.

*Please Note that after your advert has been approved you will not be entitled to a refund if you decide to delete your listing.

Events

Q. How do I place an event?

A. Here are a few different ways that you can submit your event on Equilinks:

Website– the quickest and easiest way is to submit your event directly onto equilinks.co.uk or by clicking here. You will have the option to pay for your advert by PayPal or by BACS. 

Email- if you would rather submit your event via email, you can send your event details, together with which categories you would like it to feature in, a description, schedule & entry form, any images you would like to use, and your online entry link to a member of our team at enquiries@equilinks.co.uk, once your advert has been created we will then contact you for a payment before your event is approved to go live on the site. 

SMS or WhatsApp- Send your business details together with your images to 07935 473634 for us to create your profile. Once your advert has been created we will then contact you for payment before your advert is approved to go live on the site.

  • Single Event- £10 Unlimited wording to describe your event, business directory profile links, include up to 5 photos, upload schedules & entry forms and even include your online entry links.
  • Multiple Events- £7.50 each. Submit as many events as you (all must be submitted at the same time) This package has all the same great features as the single event package just at a discounted price.

Q. How do I edit my event?

A. You will not be able to manually edit your event after it has been submitted and approved. However we would be happy to help amend your event listing if there has been any mistakes, if you would like to make any changes including to swap or delete any images or wording. Just contact a member of our team at enquiries@equilinks.co.uk to assist.

Q. How do I add online entries to my event?

A. If you are using a genuine online entry or booking system that allow people to submit entry & pay securely online, a link will be included providing the full link including the unique event id or identifier is supplied. Find us on or similar will not be used. A social media or club events page is not an online entry system unless submission & payment is accepted. You will need to copy and paste your online entry url into the box provided on the submit an event form.

Q. How do I add times to my event? 

A. Send us an email at enquiries@equilinks.co.uk clearly stating the name, date and location of your event and include any documents (times) that you want us to add to your event and a member of our team will add this to your event advert.  

Q. How do I list more than one event?

A. Each event must be submitted one at a time. After submitting and paying for your first event (Be sure to select the multiple event option) just continue with the same process for each consecutive event that you are wishing. to submit.
